What I mean when I say "Sanctuary"
When I talk about creating sanctuary, I’m not just talking about pretty spaces or stylish design. I’m talking about something deeper - something that speaks to the soul and restores our relationship with the living world.
To me, sanctuary is about creating spaces that feel safe, sacred, and deeply nourishing. Whether that’s a physical space like your home, an outdoor space where you feel connected to the land, or an inner space within yourself, the purpose is the same: to create room for meaningful connection.
Sanctuary is where we gather.
That might mean gathering with friends or family around the dinner table or a fire. It might mean cuddling up with your partner or a pet on the couch. It might also mean gathering the pieces of yourself that have been scattered by stress or busyness and gently returning to your center.
It’s also about gathering with the Earth - with the living landscape, the spirit of the land, the birds, the insects, the weather, the wind. It’s noticing the plants, the light, the rhythm of the changing seasons. It’s remembering that the world is alive all around you – and that you are a part of it.
Sanctuary is how we bring reverence into the everyday.
It’s a quiet honoring of your soul, your body, your spirit, and your unique light in this world.
It’s also deeply practical. Sanctuary can be a home that reflects your values and where you're headed. It’s choosing colors and materials that nourish you. It’s consciously selecting objects that hold meaning and arranging them in ways that support your energy. It’s incorporating natural elements that remind you of the earth’s wisdom. It’s keeping things clean, not from obligation, but out of self-respect. Because you deserve to live in a space that supports who you are and what you’re becoming.
With flower essences, sanctuary becomes internal. They help quiet the noise so you can actually hear your soul clearly. They create inner harmony that makes space for clarity, peace, and truth.
To me, sanctuary is not an escape. It’s a return.
To the rhythms of nature.
To the wisdom of your body.
To the beauty that’s been waiting for you to notice it.
Sanctuary invites us to slow down, to be present, to remember that we are nature, too.
It’s the space that invites you in and makes you want to stay. It’s where the outer and inner worlds meet - and both are held with care.
That’s what I mean when I say “sanctuary.”
And that’s what I’m here to help you create.
